Hip Pain - Tensor Fasciae Latae (TFL)

TFL is a muscle that is used to abduct the hip as well as stabilise it. When it is tight, it can cause pain in side of the hip while moving or sitting for extended periods.

Over time, if not taken care of, trigger points will form and can cause referral pain in the lower back and knee, while reducing ROM.

To relieve the pain, a combination of METs and trigger point therapy is used. Regularly stretching will maintain the function and prevent the muscle from tightness and spasm.
